I Audited 10 BJJ Gym Websites — Here Is What Was Wrong Every Single Time
I look at a lot of gym websites. Recently, I audited ten BJJ gym websites back-to-back, and I found the exact same mistakes on almost every single one.
These are not minor design flaws. These are fundamental gaps that cost you students every month.
The 10 Most Common Gaps
1. No schema markup. Google cannot easily read what your business is or who you serve.

3. No location pages. You want to rank in the three cities bordering yours, but you have no pages targeting them.
4. NAP inconsistency. Your name, address, and phone number are different on Facebook than they are on your site.
5. Massive image files. Your photos are not compressed, making your site load incredibly slow on mobile.
6. No booking button above the fold. Prospects have to scroll and hunt just to find out how to try a class.
7. No webchat widget. You are forcing people to call or email instead of texting you instantly.
8. No review automation. You only get reviews when you manually beg your students for them.
9. Apple Maps unclaimed. You are completely ignoring the default navigation app on every iPhone.
10. No internal links. Your pages are dead ends that do not pass authority to each other.
