The Complete Google Business Profile Checklist for BJJ and MMA Gyms
Most gyms I look at have a Google Business Profile that's only partly filled out, and the owner doesn't know it. You claimed the listing, added your hours, and stopped.
That matters, because your profile is one of the biggest factors in whether you show up in the map results when someone nearby searches for training.
The Core Elements
Your business name must be consistent everywhere. Your categories need to be exact, and your description should say plainly what you teach and where (for example: Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai for adults and kids in Clarksville).
Photos matter a lot. Add real, recent photos of classes, your mats, your coaches, kids and adults training, and the outside of the building so people recognize it when they pull up.
Are your hours, including holiday hours, accurate? An out-of-date schedule is one of the fastest ways to lose a first-time visitor's trust. Is every program listed as a service, with a short description of each?
Is the phone number on your profile one that someone answers, or that sends an instant text back when you're on the mats?
Products and Reviews
Your services and products sections should list your programs: adult BJJ, kids BJJ, Muay Thai. And post updates regularly: events, seminars, schedule changes, promotions.
